The Editorial Board, on behalf of Andhra Association Jaipur, of ‘Telugu Pathrika’ wishes happy New Year and Sankranthi to all members of Andhra Association. We are all happy to release the fourth issue in this series without interruption. It is a pleasant coincidence that the issues are released on auspicious festive days, this time it is on Sankranthi which we will celebrate as main festival marking the occasion of harvesting.

Over the last four months it has been observed that the readership of this online magazine is slowly increasing. This is a good sign. The hits on our website also are encouraging. One of the notable achievements of our Association is the spread of our network. More and more new members are joining the Association. With the support of our members we are envisaging to conduct more activities. Information about these activities are being uploaded in our website as and when they are decided.

Our member readers shall be happy to note that train connectivity to two major cities of Andhra Pradesh has become reality with the introduction of weekly trains, One to Visakhapatnam-Jodhpur-Visakhapatnam and the other one being Secunderabad-Jaipur-Secunderabad. We feel it pertinent to mention that the efforts of our Association at every available opportunity and pursuit have been put paid. You would recall that we had submitted a petition to Sri. K J Surya Prakash Reddy , Hon'ble Central Railway Minister during his visit to Jaipur in the year 2013 which he passionately received and assured to look into. We thank the Hon'ble Minister for his benign consideration of our request and providing train connectivity between Rajasthan and AP from cities like Bikaner, Jodhpur and Jaipur which shall benefit our fraternity spread across Rajasthan.

Our effort is to conduct and bring to the notice of all our members more programmes of our Association. Also, information concerned to the members pertaining to their achievements will be published in this newsletter. The Board again requests all the members to send such information. Members may see in this issue the activities of the Association that have happened during the month of December 2013. Suggestions for improvement are earnestly solicited.

Wishing again all a Happy, prosperous, and eventful New Year 2014.

Greetings from Andhra Association to all its members and Telugu speaking people. Andhra Association, Jaipur wish this third issue of Newsletter will also be received in the same spirit as the earlier two. The name ‘Jaipur Telugu Patrika’ was coined after several deliberations among the members. Effort is being sincerely made to cover all the events concerned to our community i.e., Telugu speaking people. It is a pleasant co-incidence that the first issue was launched on the day of ‘Vijaya Dasami’ and the second on the occasion of ‘Deepavali’ both of which are auspicious festivals celebrated by us. Now the third issue is coming out in the sacred month of ‘Karthik’.

It has been requested by the Editorial Board in the previous issue to send relevant information for publication. This request fulfilled its purpose. One can find the response in the form of articles and information embedded in this issue. In the issues released till now we are fortunate to highlight a major event giving details for the information of readers. This time it is Picnic-2013 synonym for our yearly gathering ‘KarthikaVanabhojanalu’. All the 300 people attended were enthusiastic and cherished the day long function. Narration and presentation is given here along with photos. Readers can also appreciate the talent and philanthropy, characteristics of our community, in other articles.

The Editorial Board once again appeal to all the members for their contribution and cooperation to sustain this Newsletter - ‘Jaipur Telugu Patrika’. Association is sincere in initiating and conducting several programmes that interest the members. Affection is the cohesive force that binds all our members and this makes our Association to grow from strength to strength.

We wish all our members a very HAPPY CHRISTMAS and look forward to receive your comments and feedback on our News Letter.
