Andhra Association, Jaipur

More than four decades ago, Andhra Vigyana Samithi (AVS), an association of Telugu speaking people was formed in Pink City, Jaipur. The sole objective of AVS was to foster brotherhood and affinity among the Telugu fraternity in Jaipur. Later, in the year 1975-76, it was re-titled  as ‘Andhra Association’ (AAJ) and was registered vide Registration No. 39/75-76, since then the AAJ has steadily spread its activities to entire Rajasthan covering  "all Telugu speaking people"
Jaipur has grown to be a big city with increasingly large number of Telugu people spread across its every nook and corner. AAJ aim at bringing all of Telugu fraternity on one platform by organizing various cultural and social programs regularly. AAJ is also continuously striving for the welfare of its members whilst propagating and upkeeping Telugu culture in Rajasthan. AAJ has always stood by its members not only in their happy days but also during difficult moments.
AAJ has been organizing various cultural programs every year. The most popular amongst them are Ugadi (Our New Year’s day) Celebration, Kaarthika Vana Bhojanam, Rudrabhishekam/Homam, Ganesh Pooja, Sankranti, Christmas Celebrations,  get together etc.. These programs have become regular features in calendar of events of AAJ.  Special mention needs to be given to the biggest event organised by AAJ, which was, Sri Venkateswaraswamy Kalyanam by priests from Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam (TTD), Pravachanam by eminent scholars,  AAJ has also organised charitable programs / event like free medical check-up, Annadaanam for poor children, donations to poor, donation of study aids, winter care accessories etc to the Students of "New Bright Ways School", Annadaanam to the people of Swami Basti, assistance to blind/disabled people, Payment of School/College fees to the extremely needy and meritorious  students etc.
With an aim to strengthen its presence and to step up its activities for the welfare and well-being of its members and spread of Telugu culture, AAJ is in the process of acquiring its own office premises. For this noble cause, valuable contributions and whole-hearted support of the members is solicited. Your support and help would enable the Association to acquire a permanent place in Jaipur which would go a long way in benefiting the generations to come. It gives immense pleasure to share that donations made to AAJ are eligible for exemption under Sec’80G (5)(vi) of The Income Tax Act’1961 vide approval dated 05.03.2015 granted by The Commissioner of Income Tax (Exemptions), Jaipur.
Further the members of our association have shown tremendous interest in construction of Sri Venkateswara Swamy Temple in Jaipur. In this endeavor, many have come forward and assured us donations/contributions.  Accordingly, to have clear implementation and action plan and to take forward this noble and pious cause, a separate Trust was formed.  We are very happy to inform you in the month of September, 2016 the trust viz., Sri Venkateswara Swamy Temple Trust (SVSTT) was formalised.   As a preliminary activity, Sri Venkateswaraswamy Kalyanam was organised on 8th May, 2016.  Further AAJ & SVSTT aspires that this type of contribution is continued from all the members to realise our dream of constructing Shri Venkateswara Swamy Temple in Jaipur.  We invite each and every member of our association to come forward and help in achieving this object.
