Sri Venkateswara Swamy Kalyana Mahotsavam @Jaipur

posted Jul 13, 2014, 8:24 AM by Shyam Kishore

The Sri Venkateswara Swamy Kalyana Mahotsavam will be performed by the Priests of TTD on 27th September 2014, Saturday at Jaipur.  Details of the program will be posted shortly.  All the devotees are invited to participate and requested to generously contribute.

Lord Venkateswara whose abode is Tirumala hills situated in Andhra Pradesh, is the most visited God.  Daily about 70,000 pilgrims have God’s darshan and seek His blessings.   Venkateswara Swamy is the only ‘Swayambhu’ (transformed Himself into statue) in the world and believed to be  ‘Varada’  (who floods boons on devotees). No wonder every Hindu wants to have God’s darshan at least once in life time.

Every day God’s Kalyanam (celestial marriage) is performed in the temple.  TTD has established a separate ‘Srinivasa Kalyanam Project’ who has been entrusted the duty of performing God’s Kalyanam at various places in the country.  After consulting a few people, Andhra Association, Jaipur has sent a request to TTD which has been accepted. The project crew bring idols from temple, perform Kalyanam and other auspicious rituals as per Aagama Sastra’.
