The Editorial Board, on behalf of Andhra Association Jaipur, of ‘Telugu Pathrika’ wishes happy New Year and Sankranthi to all members of Andhra Association. We are all happy to release the fourth issue in this series without interruption. It is a pleasant coincidence that the issues are released on auspicious festive days, this time it is on Sankranthi which we will celebrate as main festival marking the occasion of harvesting.

Over the last four months it has been observed that the readership of this online magazine is slowly increasing. This is a good sign. The hits on our website also are encouraging. One of the notable achievements of our Association is the spread of our network. More and more new members are joining the Association. With the support of our members we are envisaging to conduct more activities. Information about these activities are being uploaded in our website as and when they are decided.

Our member readers shall be happy to note that train connectivity to two major cities of Andhra Pradesh has become reality with the introduction of weekly trains, One to Visakhapatnam-Jodhpur-Visakhapatnam and the other one being Secunderabad-Jaipur-Secunderabad. We feel it pertinent to mention that the efforts of our Association at every available opportunity and pursuit have been put paid. You would recall that we had submitted a petition to Sri. K J Surya Prakash Reddy , Hon'ble Central Railway Minister during his visit to Jaipur in the year 2013 which he passionately received and assured to look into. We thank the Hon'ble Minister for his benign consideration of our request and providing train connectivity between Rajasthan and AP from cities like Bikaner, Jodhpur and Jaipur which shall benefit our fraternity spread across Rajasthan.

Our effort is to conduct and bring to the notice of all our members more programmes of our Association. Also, information concerned to the members pertaining to their achievements will be published in this newsletter. The Board again requests all the members to send such information. Members may see in this issue the activities of the Association that have happened during the month of December 2013. Suggestions for improvement are earnestly solicited.

Wishing again all a Happy, prosperous, and eventful New Year 2014.
